The goal of this immersive, hands-on, training and mentorship is to help you ace the interview, get the job, and succeed in the field of admissions. This is a 3-week mentorship/training with 1.5 hours M/W/F with a 1:1 mentor providing feedback and consulting just like you will in the role. (the mentorship can be extended to work around your schedule). You’ll start by learning the student lifecycle and quickly move into the consulting and sales process of appointment setting, interviews, student applications, and program starts. Through role play and scenario-based learning, you’ll build the in-depth sales and communication skills needed to listen, learn, and overcome challenges by helping students make sense of what’s expected. These skills are indispensable and transferable—whether you continue to grow within higher education or move into other professional roles that require leadership, relationship-building, and results. You’ll also master financial aid positioning, understand compliance boundaries, and learn lead and class management while developing a personal system for continuous self-development. The goal is for you to be equipped with the tools to grow your own career, manage your potential, and become the professional every team wants to keep. A sample outline is below: Focuses on hands-on admissions operations to prepare participants for entry-level roles. Participants learn to: Guide students through the application and enrollment process. Manage student inquiries, appointments, and class schedules. Monitor student retention and engagement, ensuring smooth workflow and communication. Track applications, enrollment, and conversions and forecast expected start to goal. Support marketing and outreach efforts to drive enrollment growth. Outcome: Graduates gain practical experience equivalent to 1 year in professional admissions roles, mastering the skills colleges value most. Job search strategies and resume recommendation.
